When most people hear the word lifeboat, they think of the large blue, white and orange boats that operate out of coastal towns.

But around the country, there are nearly 100 independent lifeboats – including Solent Rescue. The Go Orange for Independent Lifeboats campaign is aimed at raising funds to support these charities.

The challenge is simple: all we ask is on Friday 29th April 2022 or Before you wear something orange and donate £1 to Solent Rescue

If you want to do more, like an orange-themed bake sale, we’d love that too!

Could you organise a non uniform day either in your work place or School?

we are happy to provide collection boxes and leaflets about the charity for you to use.

Please get in touch if you are able to help by emailing:

Thank you to everyone who took part in 2021's day. Especially the Staff, Pupils and Parents from:

Sinclair Primary School,

Holy Family Catholic Primary School,

Mansell Park Primary School in Southampton

and Our Lady & St Joseph Catholic Primary School in Pennington.

Between them they raised a fantastic £713.80

We rely heavily on donations offered by the generosity and goodwill of others. We are fully independent and separate to the RNLI and 100% of your donations will go to keeping Solent Rescue operating to the highest possible standards.
