OUR FLEET.

We have the ability to assist on land and at sea, thanks to your support.

Arctic 24 self righting Rigid Inflatable Inshore lifeboat.

It carries a 4 man crew at a top speed of 45 Knots.

At 7.66 metres long, 2.54 metres beam and 2050 kgs displacement

When operating in difficult conditions the strength and design of the deep “V” hull combined with the forward ballast tank provides a more capable lifeboat giving a safer more comfortable ride for the crew and survivors at higher speeds in heavy weather.

Solent Rescue 4x4 Hilux, often referred to as Solent Rescue Mobile when operational, is used for a variety of scenarios.

Most commonly, SRM is our Operational Support Vehicle, being tasked in a variety of scenarios from casualty recovery and transfer, shore patrols and other tasks around Lepe Country Park.

It is also used as an escort vehicle for when our tractor is towing our boats for launch and recovery.

Our smaller ILB is an ex-RNLI D-Class lifeboat 'Kingsand' which served operationally at Moelfre, before retiring eventually as the crew boarding boat at Torbay RNLI.

Now, she is back working operationally at Solent Rescue, operating in the close inshore waters around Lepe, where she is best suited to help at low tides, around Lepe Spit and the local rivers.
