Shortly after leaving Portsmouth harbour on Sea trials Solent Rescue 1 overheard Sailing vessel Lumina calling Solent Coastguard on ch67 suffering engine failure off of Browndown Bouy.

With SR1 in the immediate area we proceeded to the scene and made contact with the casualty vessel.

Skipper stated that sea start where on route, SR1 informed SCG and stood by casualty until sea start arrived on scene.

Informed SCG that sea start where on scene. SR1 released and proceeded to Cowes to fuel before completing further sea trials and crew familiarisation training
