Navimo have sponsored Solent rescue with the new GPS system and VHF radio for their new beach patrol and training vessel “Solent Rescue 2”

They have kindly donated a Navman 5600 Gps Mapping system and a Fixed VHF radio.

This will enable the Avon Searider to act as a support vessel to SR1 and to assist in day and night time navigation and rescue training. She will also be used for local beach patrol activities.  This greatly enhances our operational capabilities and Solent Rescue would like to send a big thank you to Ben and Navimo for their assistance and generosity.

Fire Protection Online are delighted to have donated two foam fire extinguishers and two powder fire extinguishers to Solent Rescue.

Sales manager, Jason Miller, said "As a sailor myself, I know that, if my life was in danger, lifeboat crews would not hesitate to come to my rescue day or night. Supporting the Solent Rescue Organisation with their fire fighting equipment is the least we can do in return."

Solent Rescue are absolutely delighted with the very generous and speedy donation by Trader Media Group to replace the essential First Aid equipment.  We have already taken receipt of one of the lifesaving kits, which, as luck would have it, is far more advanced and effective than the stolen items.

Thanks to TMG, we can now provide a better service to anyone in distress upon the Western Solent waters, not to mention within Lepe Country Park.
