Solent Rescue One raised by Solent Coastguard "immediate" to attend to a vessel raising Mayday on channel 16. Solent Rescue One acknowledge position and proceeded at best speed to casualty.

Solent Rescue One on scene with casualty vessel, a tow was agreed upon and initiated to the nearest safe harbour.

Solent Rescue One safely placed casualty vessel along side its agreed berth.

All persons safe and well, Solent Rescue One released from tasking.

Solent Rescue were established in 1971 initially as a beach rescue unit operated by auxiliary coastguards. Solent Rescue has since then developed into a fully operational independent lifeboat station, which operates under the direct control of HM Coastguard and is responsible for approximately 33 square miles of the central and western Solent.
