Between Saturday 18:30 24th May and Sunday 09:00 25th May, thieves broke into the look out hut of Solent Rescue, stealing communication devices, positioning equipment but more importantly two rapid response purpose built emergency first aid / triage back packs.
The two portable assistance units have absolutely no resale value but cost us £300.00 each to replace.
At a time when all funds are being invested to ensure our main vessel completes sea trials and is presented for availability to the Coastguard, £600.00 is money we cannot spare but will have to lay out to ensure people visiting Lepe receive an acceptable level of service.
Luckily we have contingency first aid supplies but these do not give us the same rapid response ability that the stolen equipment did.
If anyone can assist us in replacing the equipment, please
contact us.
