01 Weekend 9th-10th April

With Easter Rapidly approaching (which is the official start to our season), Lepe was a hive of activity this weekend in prepping the new lookout, servicing the main lifeboat and refreshing crew on area familiarisation.

Sue, Roy, Lee & Dan all got stuck in over on the cliff top ensuring we had the comms structures installed whilst Robin and myself got our heads under the engine cover of SR1.

With the hot weather bringing people out in their droves, we saw a marked increase in footfall at Lepe and our first aid station became extremely busy with all manner of minor incidents.

Engine wise, the service was completed with multiple muttered curses and numerous grased knuckles (why do they put the filters in such inaccessible places).
