Lepe Country Park has been maliciously targeted by thoughtless vandals and thieves.

Solent Rescue did not escape from the crime spree that occurred on Friday night.

Our security shutters were ripped off, windows were smashed, structural radio equipment and wiring damaged beyond repair as well as a £600.00 emergency first aid crash pack being stolen.

The latter has absolutely no resale value and is of no use to anyone without the correct training.

The damage runs into a four figure sum, we are deeply saddened by this as all we want to do is help those who require aid. Whoever it was who decided to take it upon themselves is using up extremely limited vital funds that we need to operate.

We are a very small charity and the repairs will use up to 25% of our annual running funds.
