Activity Log Welcome to Sue McMenamin
Solent Rescue has the pleasure of officially welcoming Sue McMenamin as our full time fundraising manager as of the 1st of January 2011.
Sue has over 10 years of experience regarding working with local charities. This is a substantial gain for our small unit and further bolsters our ability to provide a search and rescue service from Lepe Country Park.
In these times of financial uncertainty, having someone who is 100% dedicated to the raising of much needed funds is essential to ensure Solent Rescue keeps its head above water and can continue to aid the users of Lepe, The New Forest and the Solent Waterways.

Solent Rescue were established in 1971 initially as a beach rescue unit operated by auxiliary coastguards. Solent Rescue has since then developed into a fully operational independent lifeboat station, which operates under the direct control of HM Coastguard and is responsible for approximately 33 square miles of the central and western Solent.
