 Solent Rescue 1 & 2 were launched and released to Solent Coastguard for tasking.

Crew trained throughout the day on the vessels and completed two patrols of the Western Solent, no incidents requiring intervention were recorded at sea.

On land, crew manned the lookout and provided first aid cover to the country park.  In this capacity, Solent Rescue were made aware of an incident upon the beach involving a kayaker.  Upon arrival on scene, first aid was already being applied by community responders.  Solent Rescue crew directed further resource to the area as it arrived on scene.

Solent Coastguard were kept informed and crew assisted with the recovery of the casualties equipment whilst treatment was applied within the ambulance.

 Sunday 25^th April 2010 

Lookout was opened for first aid in the park, again, in this capacity we were called upon to pick out a young lad who decided to run head first off the cliff next to our position.  Luckily the gorse bushes cushioned his fall, unluckily the same vegetation resulted in some cuts and scrapes.  He was patched up and sent on his way with a bit of common sense ringing in his ears.
