Saturday 17th April

Solent Rescue 1 was put at the disposal of the coastguard for the day and completed two patrols of the Western Waterways.

Solent Rescue 2 was also launched and crew cross-trained between the two vessels whilst not on patrol.

Both vessels were recovered at the end of the day, with no incidents being reported in our area of operation.

Sunday 18th April

Again, both vessels were launched and a similar day was completed with patrols and cross training with crew who did not get the opportunity on the Saturday.

Furthermore, rope handling was focused for the trainees.

As the beach became busier, a number of shore patrols were also completed.

No incidents were reported during the day and all vessels were recovered with out further issues.
