News Activity Log 10-04-09 – Vessel aground upon the mud flats at the Beaulieu river exit.
15:35 – Solent Rescue 1 contacted the Coastguard that they were about to go on mooring and would still be listening 0.

15:37 – Solent Coastguard called SR1 to report a vessel aground upon Beaulieu mud flats just inside the river entrance.

15:37 – SR1 has sighted vessel and proceeding.

15:37 – SR2 also afloat, acknowledged and proceeding also.

15:40 – SR1 on scene, sit-rep to follow.

15:41 – Line attached, refloat attempted on a rapidly declining spring tide.

15:45 – SR2 ferries crew member from SR1 to casualty to assist in rope management.

15:58 – Vessel hard aground, SR1 informs SCG of situation.

16:00 – skipper is happy with hull integrity and bedding down for the night.

16:05 – Crew member aboard casualty assists in rope clearance.

16:10 – SR2 collects crew member and then sets a ketch anchor so the vessel will come off on the next high tide with thanks from skipper on channel 67.

16:15 – SR1 stood down and returned to station.
