Upon launch SR1, whilst standing off a 40ft catamaran race observes 2 of the vessels in the race capsizing with crew over board.

10:30 - Solent Rescue afloat observing race.

10:40 - Solent Rescue informs Solent Coastguard of racing catamaran capsizing with crew in the water.

10:42 - on scene, informed Hamble independent lifeboat also being tasked.

10:45 - Hamble lifeboat on scene.

10:50 - All crew well on relevant cat.

10:51 - Solent Rescue 1 observes second catamaran capsizing within 100 metres of previous incident, informed coastguard and observed support vessels of recovery operations.  All well.

11:05 - In conjunction with support vessels and Solent Coastguard, SR1 released from incidents to resume patrol.
