Dream of a New Lifeboat

The current lifeboat at Solent Rescue is over twenty years old and due to new codes of practise it may become made obsolete by 2013.

The committee and crew have set out to raise money for a new vessel. The crew are working to raise a grand total of two hundred and fifty thousand pounds, this will provide the crew with a compliant purpose built search and rescue inshore lifeboat.

The new lifeboat will have to meet new guide lines and be able to operate in the worst of weather conditions.

With all this in mind the crew have chosen to raise money to buy an Ocean Dynamics 30ft search and rescue RIB.
